Jerri's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

July 25, 2004

Hello. I have no idea if this entry has the right date on it. I have no calendar handy and all my dates are running together. Anyway, I think it is right, or at least close. For now, I'm stealing an idea from fellow writer Kathee

Walker: 18.5 m onths
Baby #2: 18 weeks tomorrow

I am over my agitated state of the crossed leg thing and the tech and doctor's bad attitudes. Things here are going smoothly, well as smoothly as can be for ME to be pg. I have had some kind of nasty ear infection and spend this week complaining about that. Otherwise, I'm tired and nausea and raising a toddler who is active beyond all belief.

Who knew boys were so loud and rowdy? He just handed me a clothes hanger with the sincerity of handing me a million bucks....I don't get him, lol. He is so happy all the time unless he is ....well really he is happy unless he is getting into something he shouldn't and being told "NO". He answers no to everything. Sometimes he says no and nods yes and sometimes he says no and reaches for things anyway. Quite a funny kid. He has learned his animal sounds and on comman will walk around the living room, flapping his arms and clucking until we al lgo insane or he falls down laughing himself. He is a lover and for that I am so grateful. He gives hugs and kisses to anyone that asks for them and loves kissing babies in magazines. Soon we are going to buy a baby doll that cries because that is the only time he is not fond of my baby cousin's. He likes for me to hold them and he sits and pets their head and leg, but if they cry, he wants them gone, banished from his very sight. So, we have to work on that one.

My in-laws are coming on the 3rd and going with us to the genetics lab on the 4th for another appt. We should have our chromosome test results then and I may get my triple screen results this Thur at my OB appt. I did find out that I can have a 4D u/s at 24 and 28 weeks to check for cleft palate and lip since Walker doesn't have a *^$#*& (one of those things that hangs down in the back of your throat that I can't spell).

Other than that, all is as well as pg-possible here. I can't believe no one can help me in the potty training department. We've been letting him go without a diaper a lot and asking him every 30 min or so if he needs to use the potty. He sits on it but doesn't do anything. He gets cranky when he needs to pee and wants a diaper instead of using the potty and at least he don't use the floor, lol. I guess it will just be a slow process........I am not one who likes to wait. I want it done, lol. Oh well, guess he'll show me won't he?

Ok, I believe that's it!

Thanks for reading,
Jerri Ann, Walker and the bug #2~~~
