Introduction
One week closer to Christmas and Dylan is very, very excited!! Friday was his playgroup Christmas party and he had a fantastic day. It was so great to see him enjoy himself and to be sooooooooooo excited about Santa coming to visit. The kids all played games and sang Christmas songs and then tucked into a mountain of food, which was yummy. Dylan thought it was just great. Santa then arrived (played by my DH and of course Dylan's daddy!!) and Dylan couldn't believe his eyes. He sat and clapped while all the kids received their presents and then it was Dylan's turn. He ran up to Santa and shook his hand to get his present. He wouldn't sit on Santa's lap to get a photo but that wasn't a problem. He then went off to play with his little friends. It was a great day for all of us and a very rewarding day for my DH who thoroughly enjoyed his first experience at playing Santa. It was so wonderful to see Dylan enjoying every minute of the day and it is great to be able to share these experiences with him.Toilet training is still rather non-existent but we have days where he wants to wear his undies and is quite happy to tell us when he wants to go to the toilet. The next day all he wants is a nappy so it gets quite frustrating at times. I have resigned myself to the fact that it will all take care of itself and I have stopped worrying about it. His molars are still causing him problems which I am sure has something to do with his toilet training.
We have a very busy time leading up to Christmas and it is a very exciting time for us, although being away from our families makes me feel sad at times. We are definitely going to spend Christmas next year in Australia. It is one of those things that we want our families to enjoy -- having their grandson, nephew and cousin around!!
That's all for this week!! Take care and I will write again next week.
Happy Toddling!!
Jenny and Dylan x
