Hi everyone!! I hope you have all had a good week with your toddlers. Dylan and I have been laying low this week. I am now 9 weeks pregnant and morning sickness has become afternoon and night sickness. It is a really horrible feeling and one that I hope doesn't last for a long time. I am finding it a little difficult with Dylan because he is so keen to go out and play and sometimes I am not up to it. I am very lucky that he is a really good boy and is quite happy playing at home, especially during the colder weather. I have felt much better over the last few days, so my fingers are crossed it gets better from here on in.Dylan is doing really well. He has fully recovered from his sickness, which is great! Since he has been feeling better, I decided that it was time for him to be weaned from his bottles. He has adapted really well to it. I just gave him a sipper cup one day, and he told me that "bottles are for bubbas." So, he is quite happy to drink from a cup now. Occasionally when he is tired he will ask for a bottle, but I just give him his cup and within a minute or two he is quite happy to drink from his cup. I have also noticed since being weaned that his appetite has improved dramatically. It is incredible the difference. He is always asking for food and eats all his breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is fabulous. He was a real grazer before. My DH and I are very happy about his progress with his food. He is also very keen now to try new foods, which is great. It would be also great to get rid of his dummy but he is more attached to his dummy than anything else!! He tells us that his dummy is his friend!!
We are off to Britain for Chinese New Year. We are really excited about it all. It will be freezing cold so next week, we will spend some time shopping for thermals and woolen clothing. We are not used to feeling the cold because Australia and Hong Kong have very mild winters. It will be interesting. Dylan loves going on planes and this will be the first trip where he actually gets a seat. He gets so excited.
Have a great week with your toddlers!
Best Wishes,
Jenny and Dylan xx
