Jenna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

July 25, 2000

What do you call a guy who is picked on by his little sister? Well, we call him Aaron. More than once we have been called to his rescue when his 7-month- old sister has pulled his hair, or stolen his poptart. He is going to have a rough life.

We are moving and daddy is going to CA for at least 6 months. It will be hard on the kids and on Daddy. His major worry is "Will the babies forget me?" Can you imagine being away from your kids that long? Aaron is Daddy's boy, so it is particularly scary for Wes. Will the baby who would rather be with him than anyone else forget him? hate him? If Wes is gone for an hour or so, Aaron asks for him. I don't know if Aaron will be able to handle this separation very well. Hopefully at the end of 6 months we will be moving out to CA to live with Daddy.

My mom and sister are painting a mural in the playroom. We call it the Dragon Lover's Club. Along one wall is a dragon in the foreground snuggling with the family pets. In the background is a pesesis (sp?) in front of a castle. The landscape carries around on the left wall and a stone wall carries over to the right wall. On the opposite wall the children will be immortalized. My mom decided to put me, my sister, and DH on it as well. Aaron is a little naked faerie sitting on a rock holding his leg in just the right way to cover his nakedness. Anne is a naked flying faerie with only chubby bottom showing. Kirk is Puck sitting in a tree. For those who don't know Puck is a character from "A Midsummer's Night's Dream" by Shakespeare. Litlle James, the baby we lost, is Cupid. My littlest sister is also a faerie, but with clothing and sheer wings. My other little sister and I are wearing period costume and DH is dressed as a Scottsman. Aaron loves to be in that room. It is the playroom and when Aaron spends the night at my mom's he sleeps in there. We are going to take pictures of the kids with the mural and my mom is going to send them to Victoria Magazine. I'm just going to put the pictures in my memory book, and have my Baby Aaron and my Faerie Aaron forever
