Jenna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

July 19, 2002

We have a computer!! it's been so long. It feels so good. Well, Anne is still potty trained. Aaron is still working on it, though he's doing better. He'll be starting Head Start preschool in just over a month. He's excited. He's also really improved in his swimming. He loves being in the water with or without his waterwings. He dives, flips, dunks, and swims. Well, he can't so much swim yet as not drown, but he's getting better every day. I wouldn't be shocked to see him swimming independently by the end of the summer.
Aaron has an imaginary friend. He's a monster who lives, primarily, under the couch. The monster loves Aaron and they like to play together. Apparently the monster is in the habit of "biting [Aaron's} knees. . .gently."

Anne is as girly as ever. She made a big hit last weekend. We went to the dollar theater to see Spirit. She walked in very prissy, in her orange sun dress and white open back tennis shoes carrying her pink patent leather purse over her arm. She constantly needs make-up or nail polish and, as a general rule, allows me to fix her hair and doesn't take it down. She's started enjoying Barbie more and plays with her babies, cooking for them and feeding them. She's learning her numbers and letters, but confuses the two. She counts letters and when she see numbers, she says her ABC's.
Anne's getting better with her potty training. She even sleeps in panties.

The rest of us are doing well. Wes went to the Men In Black 2 Cast and Crew Screening a few weeks ago. He didn't get screen credit, but we got to see his work on screen and that's cool. I know I've said before, but I'll write about it again because the movie is out now. Wes worked on a crew that made the Tricranisloth--I don't know what the actual spelling is. It is the big dead alien that Frank the pug hides in. I have to admit, we're proud. I spent a week working at Vacation Bible School at my church. I was a leader of the 5th & 6th graders. There were four of us. My group was all girls. We had a lot of fun
