Jenna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 27, 2002

Is it possible? Can it be? Do I have a potty trained toddler? It sure looks that way. I've been dreaming about this day for some time now. Right now we are at the underwear during the day and a diaper at night thing. We've even been using undies in public. Aaron is 3 and Anne is 2, so we've been expecting to soon have a potty trained toddler, but we expected it to be Aaron. Oh, did I not say? IT'S ANNE!!! We've been working on Aaron for months now. The only reason we even started working with Anne was because when we took Aaron to the potty she'd want to go too. Will Aaron ever be able to live this one down? He seems to have very little interest in using the potty. He will if there is nothing else to do, but Anne hates having accidents. In the past week, she's had one accident and she just cried about it. I had heard it was easier with girls, but a whole year earlier?! In Aaron's defense ADD kids, I've been told, are even harder to potty train and there is a really good chance he's ADD. (Have I mentioned before that it runs in both sides of the family?)
I'm sure there are other things I could or should write about. Wes is worried we'll forget things like the fact that we called Anne Noo-noo because that is how Aaron said her name or when I was pregnant with Aaron Kirk picked out names for him. He chose Michael and Scorpion. I think I should throw in little facts like that whenever I think of them just so they are not lost forever.
