Jenna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 15, 2001

Hello, everyone. I have only been on this trip for three days now, but it feels like it has been a week already. The kid's haven't been bad or anything, but it's just been me and them and . . . well, you know, it's just not much of a vacation. I've visited DH on set and that was a blast. They are filming in an abandoned prison and it is fabulous! I love old creepy stuff and this is old and creepy and wonderful. The cells all still have the doors and bunks. The ceilings are low and it is pretty dark. There is something about the building that makes your heart race. How fun. I'd love to say on set and just hang out. Too bad I have kids, huh? LOL
Right now the kids are sitting in the living room in little chair at a little table eating cookies--that I over cooked and won't eat myself--and watching Nick. They've all had fun today. We spent an hour at the park this afternoon. They had never been to this one and so it was quite an adventure. If the weather permits, we'll go again tomorrow. Maybe we'll take a lunch.
I've been so domestic. I made pancakes for breakfast this morning. That may not sound like a big deal, but ask my husband, it is. My children even got a hot lunch and dinner today. This is a near miracle. I'm thinking about applying for sainthood. How many miracles does that take?
Do you remember the show Newhart? Do you remember Larry, Darryl and Daryl? Larry was plaid by William Sanderson. I met him today. He seems very nice. He is one of the leads in this movie DH is working on. Do you know Tom Savini of horror fame? He was also on The Simpson a few months back. DH has been hanging out with him all day. My husband is hanging out with celebs and I am burning cookies. Isn't that the story of my life? The funny thing is that Wes doesn't care one way or the other. When he was working out in LA he met a lot of real celebrities and it was no biggie. Me, I would have so geeked out, you know? He's so cute that way.
I just had a broken glass and a dirty diaper to deal with. That makes me really wish DH was here. Why don't they make drinking glasses shatter proof? While they are at it I need my diapers to be leak proof.
Ah, the sounds of my children destroying someone else's house. It is like music to my ears. I'm pretty sure I've moved all the stuff they can break and now I'll just have to rearrange the stuff the get out and scatter about the house.
