Jenna's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 15, 2001

Happy Valentines Day. How happy is it? Well, I am computerless.
I am at the library useing the public computer because both of the computers
I have available to me have blown moniters. I can't even check the spelling
of this diary entry. Please forgive any misspellings. I still don't have my
ChildrenToday diary set up. It has been nearly a month and I need to write
about Kirk. I have so much to tell, so will you allow me to talk about my 6
year old, too? Thank you.
Let's make a long story short. Kirk has been naughty at school. Not bratty
naughty, but wiggly naughty. On a few occasions, he has been hitting
naughty, too. After a teacher confrence in which we discussed other
circumstances into which we will not go here, we decided to talk to his
doctor about ADD. His teachers and I filled out tons of paper work and his
score was high. What is high? I do not know. But with great reluctance, his
doctor decided to treat him with medicine. He is not or ratilin (sp?) but
Concerta. It is different. Better? I don't know, but only time will tell if it
works.
Kirk is starting soccer. His first practice is on Monday night. This will be his
third year and we can't wait. He is pretty excited, too. His team color is royal
blue. His number is 17--he picked it out. His first game will be on March 17
and if my CT diary is not up by then, you will be sure to hear about it--the
game I mean.

I guess since this is my Toddler diary, I should talk about my toddlers some.
Aaron has a tendency to be bit. Not by children in the church nursery, but by
animals and objects. He has been bit by a lobster throught the glass tank, by
a squirrel from accross the yard, and by a suit of armour fire place poker
organizer thing my grandparents have. He is the funniest thing. Have you
ever known anyone like that? Actually, I do. He is a lot like my sister,
Melanie. Not that she has a propencity for being bit, but that she is very
dramatic.
Anne is walking better and better every week. She can say so many words,
too. It seems every day she says something new. She says that, coke, baby,
cracker, juice, almost anything Aaron says she'll say. I think she's over a
dozen words now. She has also learned something else from Aaron. She
has learned how to pitch a temper tantrum. He hits his head on the floor--
she hits her head on the floor. He lays and kicks--she lays and kicks. It is a
little bit amusing, but don't tell her I said that. I'd regret that in the morning.

I don't know if I have mentioned it before, but I had lost my drivers
liscense (sp?) for some insurance stuff (Blame DH for that). I got it back just
two days ago. Oh, I love driving! It is the best feeling in the whole world. I
am free!
Thanks for letting me ramble for a little while. I hope you had a Happy
Valentines Day.
Jenna
