~*~*Happy Holidays!*~*~

This is going to be a short entry but I wanted to post something to wish you all a peaceful, safe, healthy and happy Christmas! It sure has popped up quick this year. In fact, the entire year of 2002 just seemed to fly by. I try to think back, but I can hardly remember the early months of the year.

**Our Holiday Plans**

As for our holiday plans, we celebrate on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day. Christmas Eve is always my favorite probably because it holds such a magical feeling for me. Mark has to work, but they have told him they plan on letting everyone out early (which for all we know, means an only an hour early but I’m hoping he’ll be out by 2pm). Collin and I will spend the day just lounging around the house, doing the normal daily grind stuff and waiting for Mark to come home. After lunch, we’ll make our Jesus cake and decorate that. Then around 5:00pm or so, we’ll eat a light snack and get ready for 6:00pm Christmas Eve mass where we’ll meet Mark’s mother there. Afterwards we’ll either stop for a late dinner and then drive around to look at Christmas lights or we’ll just drive around to look at the lights first and then head home for a nice warm dinner, the three of us. Either way it will be a nice special evening. Once home, we’ll allow Collin to open one gift (always a tradition in my family!), which is a cozy new pair of Blue’s Clues PJ’s and set out milk and cookie’s for Santa (yummy!). We’ll read him a Christmas bedtime story and off to sleepy land for Collin. It will then be time for Mark and I to celebrate our Christmas, which we’ve always done on Christmas Eve. We make homemade hot cocoa and whipped cream and listen to Christmas songs on the radio while opening our gifts.

In the morning, Collin will FINALLY (he’s been so good and patient) get to rip and tear open all his gifts and we’ll probably take a zillion pictures and video. We’ll have a nice breakfast and have a peaceful relaxing morning. Our plan is to let Collin take his morning nap while I put together and make the lasagna we’re bringing to my MIL’s for lunch. After he wakes, we’ll get him dressed, load up the car and head out to the in-laws. We’ll probably stay there for most of the afternoon and head back home early evening.

The forecast doesn’t show a White Christmas, which is okay with me but a lot of people are disappointed when they don’t have any Christmas snow to wake up to. It would be nice for the kids, but for me, it means less of a mess in traveling!

Collin has a little stomach flu bug, so I’m hoping it passes quickly and we can have a healthy happy holiday. I would hate for him to be feeling icky on Christmas and not able to enjoy the day.

Again, wishing you all a peaceful holiday. Merry Christmas and may we all remember the reason for the season! God Bless you all!

Ho! Ho! Ho! and until next time…
Hugs, Jennifer & Collin (who I know will be THRILLED to finally rip that wrapping paper off those gifts!!!)
