Collin is 2 years old!
I’m 15 weeks, 2 days pg.
Well, once again iParenting has disappointed us. We, as diary writers, have been promised time and time again that the sites were going to be updated and things were going to get taken care of, but as you can see, things are still the same. I mean, if you want a good example, take a look over at Pregnancy Today. Only TWO of the eighteen writers are even still pregnant. Everyone else has already had their babies and they still haven’t been moved. I’m not shocked; this is the way it always is. Promises made, promises broken but it just gets so disappointing. The buzz around is that many of the writers are getting fed up with basically being lied too and some writers are even considering leaving iParenting and looking at other parenting sites that offer online diaries, or just closing up all together. That would be a real shame. Already, many of the writers have signed off and said they were closing down their diaries. We writers bring in millions of hits to these websites so if there are no writers, there won’t be any iParenting diaries. Unhappy writers make a lame site! Come on iParenting! It doesn’t take much to make us happy. Work with us here!
Collin’s 2nd birthday was wonderful and everything turned out great. He had a blast and was the happiest little boy around that day considering he had no nap. My pregnancy is progressing well and I’m finally starting to feel like part of the human race again. I have an OB appointment tomorrow (Monday) so after that; I do a full update on the appointment and pregnancy, the birthday party, and life in general. For right now, I thought it would be fun to post an entry about my favorite things so that I can add it to my children’s book so they knew what their mom liked! If anyone has anything in common or would like to comment on something, please post to me.
Take care,
Jennifer, Collin, & baby #2 (edd: 12/26)
***These Are a Few of My Favorite Things***
COLOR: Blue
NUMBERS: 3 and 8
SEASON: Fall!
MONTH: October
DAY OF WEEK: Saturday
HOLIDAY: I love all the autumn holidays but I also love the Christmas season.
FLOWER: Carnation
MOVIES: Too many to list but a few are - The Shawshank Redemption, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, 9 to 5, Grease, Wizard of Oz.
FAVORITE AUTHOR: Mary Higgins Clark
BOOKS: Again, way too many to list but a few are - The Shining, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, anything by my favorite author.
MUSIC: Lots! I grew up on The Mama’s and the Papa’s, James Taylor, The Carpenters, and Barry Manalow so I still love that stuff. I also love the old 80’s tunes. I was a teen during the 80’s so all those bring back fun memories and I was in love with Michael Jackson during his rise to fame. I still have the Thriller album tucked away in a box somewhere along with my corny fake diamond gloved necklace. As for now, I like a lot of the current hits on the rock stations and some on the lite rock stations too.
TV SHOWS: Friends, most anything on TLC or Lifetime, any type of reality TV show like Survivor, Big Brother, The Bachelor, Joe Millionaire, etc, Oprah, any type of news magazine shows like Dateline, 48 Hours, or Primetime.
CARTOON: As a child I love, love, LOVED the SMURFS! Now I think it’s fun to watch Bugs Bunny and Loony toons because it reminds me of being a kid again. My favorite SMURF was, of course, Smurfette, and my favorite loony toons character is Foghorn Leghorn.
SOAP OPERA: The Young and the Restless (my guilty pleasure each day at 11am!)
COOKIE: Oatmeal raisin
FOODS: Pizza, anything Italian (who can go wrong with pasta and bread?!), my family’s Syrian food (Syrian bread being a fav!), cereal (I’m crazy about cereal).
FAST FOOD: Subway, Taco Bell, or Fazoli’s
RESTAURANT: Spaghetti Works, Lo Sole Mio (real Italian), or Carlo’s O’Kelly’s (Mexican)
CANDY BAR: Snickers, Caramello, Kit-Kat, Cadbury eggs
FRUIT: Most all but one of my real favorites is fresh sweet watermelon
DRINKS: iced tea, hot tea, certain soft drinks (root beer, Pepsi, orange Crush, Sprite, Dr Pepper, many others), chocolate milk, mocha Frappachinos, vanilla latte’s.
SMELLS: after a rain shower, fresh honeysuckle, a baby after a bath, my mom’s cooking, coffee in the morning, holidays smells on Thanksgiving, clothes that have that fresh smell of fabric softener, freesia, homemade bread baking.
HOBBIES: scrapbooking, any craft, camping, baking, reading, being with my husband and son.
PURFUME: Estee Lauders Pleasures, Avon’s Odyssey, Prescriptives Calyx
LOTION/BUBBLE BATH/BODY SPRAY: Most anything from Bath and Body Works! My favs are Freesia, Fresh Freesia, and Plumeria.
COLLECTABLE: Squirrels!
PLACE: The Oregon Coast! If you’ve been there you know exactly what I mean!
FOOTBALL TEAM: College of COURSE are the NEBRASKA HUSKERS! Pro: Chicago Bears or KC Chiefs
WAY TO RELAX: No TV, reading a book, being cozied up in my bed, taking a nice walk, taking a long hot bubble bath!
