"Barney is a dinosaur from our imagination, and when he's tall he's what we call a dinosaur sensation!"
Nathan got to be mesmerized by the big purple dinosaur this past Sunday. Barney Live was in town and I took him with a few girlfriends and their youngest children. The show lasted about one hour and 45 minutes and Nathan's favorite parts of the show were in the beginning when there were bubbles coming out from the ceiling and eating all of our friend's popcorn. He sat through the show well, but it didn't hold his attention like I thought it would. We've taken Stephanie to see Sesame Street Live two times before and she never moved through either show. I think that he might have liked that better. That show was in town the same weekend. He enjoyed Barney, Baby Bop, and BJ, though. He lip-synced to most all of the songs. Then there was me, who sang and did the motions to every single song that they sang. At the end when Barney blew the audience a kiss, little stars and hearts made from tissue paper fell from the ceiling. The kids loved that too.
Nathan experienced his very first "time-out" a few days ago. He's taken a particular liking to throwing his toys. He had his first time-out when he decided to make his sister's head a target. He's a good throw, she cried for a long time. So, he was introduced to the recliner and gave himself a time-out later after he threw a toy, before I could get to him. I found that very humorous.
