Jennie L's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 12, 2000

Last Thursday's combined birthday party for Nathan and Stephanie was a lot of fun. Nathan was hysterical! I don't remember Stephanie ever getting so "into" parties like he does. Don't even think of even whispering the word "presents" in his earshot without his eyes lighting up and his little body bouncing up and down, hands clapping and little mouth shouting, "Yay!"

He opened all of his presents by himself, with a little help from Stephanie. Every gift he got had something to do with vehicles! We are so trucked out! I hope Santa makes a mental note that Nathan has plenty of trucks.

I know that last week I'd been hoping that he'd make a huge mess with his cake. Well, just like last year, he was as neat as any of the adults. He ate the icing off his dump-truck cake and a few bites of cake from the center of the piece and was done. He has priorities, you know. The trucks were awaiting his return! He's been playing with them ever since and he takes one or two of the trucks to bed with him in place of his beloved babies! He has a very crowded crib these days!!!!!
