Jennie L's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 4, 2000

Well, it's a good thing that Nathan loves babies!!! We just found out last weekend that we are expecting our third baby around the first of June next year! Hopefully he'll still like babies then. Even though he's only 2, he's managed to let us know that he wants a boy baby. His sister, Stephanie, is pretty insistant on a baby sister. They don't seem too confused by it, though.

So, to make room in the upcoming months for a new addition, Nathan will have to be moved in the near future to a toddler bed. Once he grows used to that, then we will move his bed and other things into his sister's room. They will ideally share a room until we decide to move. We are talking about moving in 2002. Then when we move they will all get their own rooms or the two children of the same sex will go together and share a room and the other will get their own room. I'm actually thinking that with Nathan in Stephanie's room, she may actually sleep better at night. She is constantly up and down. Maybe they will both feel more secure when they wake up at night.

Tomorrow night is the birthday party that we are having for both of the kids together. Nathan is getting a dump truck cake and is very excited to open presents. His favorite part of his birthday is actually having everyone sing to him. It should be fun! I wonder if he'll make more of a mess with his cake than last year??? He was pretty clean after his cake on his first birthday. Maybe this year he'll get wild with it!?!?!?!? We'll see.
