Jen B's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

November 24, 2000

Happy Thanksgiving! Our holiday was very enjoyable. We went to my brother- and sister-in-laws' for dinner, and it was so much fun to see Jacob and his cousin playing together. Jake cried a little when we first got there, I think because he was afraid we'd leave him. Once he settled in, he took off, and was all over the house. It was the first time they and my mother-in-law had seen him walking, which made it fun for them, too.

It's too bad we live so far apart. It would be nice for the kids to see each other more often. They'll miss having Christmas together, since we'll be in Florida, visiting my father-in-law from the 15th to the 23rd. By that time, Doug, Carolyn and Kailey will be in North Carolina. It will still be an exciting holiday, and we're looking forward to it.

The house hunt continues, though slowly. We've been scouring the real estate guides for potential homes, and pestering our Realtor for additional info. Hopefully, we'll find something by springtime.

Oh, and Jacob has a new "skill." He can point out his nose and mouth (sometimes the eyes) upon request, though he tends to stick his finger up his nose. He'll point out our features, too, but we've got to watch where he puts those fingers!

Since Chris is off this Saturday, we're planning on a nice, quiet weekend. I've even cancelled my Sunday school class so we can have some much needed rest. The coming weeks will be very busy for us, with Christmas and our trip just around the corner.

Got to change a diaper now (phew!)

Jen & Jacob =)
