Jen B's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
November 14, 2000
This has been the week from hell. The past five days I've been living with a stranger. My happy, easy-going, independent son has been replaced by a crabby, clingy, insatiable little monster. Of course, this may have something to do with the two molars he's cutting.
It doesn't help that he is without his binky -- a battle I may have won by default. He lost it on Thursday, and I haven't given it to him since. I'd already cut most of the nipple off, so I decided he was better off without it. I've begun to wonder about that, though . . .
Today seems to be going a bit better -- the monster has been replaced with a monkey. He's begun climbing onto chairs, and doing chin-ups on tables and dressers. It was almost funny watching him try to climb into his playpen, though I doubt he'd have been too happy with his efforts if he succeeded.
I'm going to have to keep this week's entry on the short side, as I'm anxiously awaiting a call from the bank. They got our loan application, and we're supposed to get the results today.
Keeping our fingers crossed,
Jen & Jacob =)
