Jen B's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 18, 2000

Chris and I had an enjoyable evening out on Friday. We went to see "Lost Souls" with Winona Ryder, who I really like. We thought it would be fun to see a spooky movie on Friday the 13th. The movie was a bit spooky, but not very good. All four of us were disappointed. It was good spending time together without the little ones, though, even if all of us were coughing and hacking all night.

Partly because we got home late, and partly because I was coughing so much, I didn't sleep much that night. We went to the Hawley Harvest Hoedown on Saturday, which was OK. Jacob tried the pony ride, but was a bit freaked out, poor guy. He loved the hayride, though. We were right up front with the drivers, and Jake stood up and waved at the people we passed.

I didn't sleep well Saturday night, either. That was rough, because I had to get up at 6:30 a.m. for Sunday school. I got through it OK -- the huge travel mug of coffee I brought helped a bit. I was so ready for a nap when I got home, but that was not to be. I had only just put down all my stuff, put Jake down for his nap, and changed clothes when my aunt arrived. She and her pups (two Cairn Terriers) were bored and wanted to show off her new truck.

I was barely coherent, and Chris was watching the Steelers, so we were kind of oblivious. Not quite rude, I mean, we did talk to her, just not as much as we would have at a better time. I went to bed right after she left.

I'm starting to feel a bit better though. Jake and I forewent story hour at the library yesterday so we could rest. Hopefully we'll make it next week, since he really enjoys it.

Jen & Jacob =)
