October 4, 2000
Chris and I had a nice evening out on Saturday. My mother-in-law babysat Jacob for the first time, and kept him overnight. We went to see "What Lies Beneath," which turned out to be much better than we both expected. It was an excellent thriller, and for awhile, I was actually glad we don't have a bathtub in our house!
I had Sunday school the next day, so I had to be up early, but Connie didn't arrive with Jacob until later that afternoon, so we still had some time together. Of course, it was spent watching the Steelers game. ... Sigh.
Poor Connie had expected to have more time to play with Jacob, but he missed his late nap and fell asleep at 5 for the night. He woke up at his usual time, so she did get some time with him Sunday morning. We'll have to try and bring him for a visit when he's not staying over, so she can play with him, I guess. It seems we've had nothing but schedule conflicts since he was born, which have hopefully subsided now. It doesn't help that she's 45 minutes from our house, or that Chris works in that town (makes us less likely to want to head up there when he's not working).
Not much else to report this week, though we have a busy weekend coming up.
Jen & Jacob =)
