Jen B's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

August 2, 2001

Today has been pretty exciting. I got to go pick up Jake's birthday present today, and I'm almost finished packing for our big trip! Yesterday, when I brought in the mail, the Pocono Shopper had arrived. I always take a few minutes to scan the classifieds for anything of interest, and my efforts paid off. Someone was offering two of those power wheels Jeeps for $20!! I was the first caller, so I got to go look at them today. We ended up getting the second one for friend of ours. They did need some cleaning up, and one needs a new battery, but they run just fine, and you can't beat the price. While I was talking to the lady, Jake climbed right in one of them, and was "driving" like a pro! He didn't push the gas pedal, but he was having fun with the steering wheel and "shifter". I had the hardest time getting him out of it so I could load it in the car. Can't wait 'till his birthday so we can give it to him.

We're leaving tomorrow. Chris has to work a half day, so we'll pick him up at work and be on our way. Some friends of mine are putting us up for the night, and I can't wait to see them. The next day entails a visit to my best friend and my grandmother, then on to the beach for a week of FUN and relaxation!

It's amazing how much stuff we have to pack for this, though. I'm done with everything except the usual "last-minute stuff. We're leaving in a few minutes to take the dog to MIL's, so I guess I'd better get going.

'Till we get back--see 'ya!

Jen =)
