Jen B's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 2, 2001

The good news: We're about to become homeowners!

The bad news: We're going to be in debt for 30 years.

The sellers came back with their response to our inspection report, and have decided to take care of the major concerns themselves. I am SO relieved! I'm also getting more exicited, now that this is becoming more of a reality. It will be wonderful for Jake to finally have a yard to play in. I feel like he's missed out on so much because of that. He'll also have a decent sized bedroom for a change. Even when the baby arrives, there will still be plenty of room for both of them. And of course, the tub is another thing I'm excited about--and not just for Jacob!

I'm glad we'll have a few months for Jake to get used to the new house before the baby shows up. Who knows, maybe we'll even have time to tackle potty training???

We're celebrating my mom's birthday tomorrow, and it is going to be SO hard to see her and not tell her about the baby. I already feel awful about the countless little white lies I've already told her. I will be such a relief to finally tell her.
Next week is going to be very busy for us. I have my doctor's appointment, and can finally share the big news. Then Jake has his 18 month checkup (a year and a half already ?!?!), and I leave for Mommy Camp next Friday. A weekend away for moms only! I can't wait, but I'm a little nervous about Chris and Jacob left to their own devices.

It's snowing again, and we've already got about a foot of the stuff. I am SO ready for Spring!!!

Jen & Jacob =)
