Jen B's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
February 23, 2001
It's only 12:30PM and I'm already exhausted. We got about 8" of snow yesterday, so I had to go clear the steps and dig out the car. Then I headed downstairs in the freezing cold basement to start cleaning and packing up the piles of junk down there. I did have a space heater on, and was still bundled up from outside, but had to take frequent breaks to thaw out my hands and check on Jacob. There's still tons more stuff, but at least I've put a small dent in it. I should also have Chris to help me tomorrow when he gets home from work.
The house inpection was Wednesday, and went pretty much as we expected it to. Now we have to wait on the seller's response and the other reports (septic, pest, and radon). I am so afraid we'll come this far, only to start all over again. Part of the process, I guess.
I also called the doctor for my first OB appointment this week, but she's on vacation and can't see me until 3/5. It figures. So now I have to wait another week and a half just to get a lousy due date. So we're going to keep quiet at least until then.
I feel almost guilty, since the excitement seems to have begun to wear off already. With Jacob, my face lit up every time I thought about being pregnant, which was constantly. Perhaps because I do have another kid who keeps me busy? Is it because I'm tired all the time? Or because of the house stuff? Who knows. Now all I need is for my sister to get married, and I'll have all of life's major stressors covered, haha!
Jacob has been SO much better this week, now that he's shaken that cold off. He's still a demanding little cuss, but that's normal. He was trying to help me type, but finally nodded off. I suppose if I want to get in a nap today (a never-ending quest these days), I'd better put him to bed and crawl into mine.
Jen & Jacob =)
