Jen B's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 15, 2001

I had an eventful Valentine's Day. Chris even remembered to get me something. I got a card, a teddy bear, a scented candle with a baloon attached, and a HOUSE!

Well, the house isn't ours yet, but Chris (finally) decided we'd take the leap. Of course, he waited until almost midnight when I was half asleep to tell me his decision.

The day had an ominous start, though. Jacob woke up with a fever of 102, the highest he'e ever had. I gave him Tylenol, and tired putting a cool cloth on him (which he wanted no part of). I pumped him with fluids, and he wasn't interested in food at all. I called the doctor after his nap, when he woke up still feverish. They said to keep up what I was doing unless I wanted to bring him in. Since we had that house appointment, and he wasn't any worse, I decided to ride it out till the next day.
Poor lil' guy screamed almost the whole time we were at the house. He finally settled down after the Tylenol kicked in again. Meanwhile, Chris must've gone through that house three or four times.

I don't blame him, I just knew this was the house for us, and that his decision had more to do with being ready to make the commitment (to a mortgage). Also, we found something a lot sooner than either of us expected to. Kinda' like when we found out I was pregnant with Jake, haha.

Speaking of pregnancy, I'm on Cycle Day #37, and no sign of AF . . .

Jen & Jacob =)
