Okay, teething is supposed to get easier, right? Will someone please tell my toddler that? I think it's actually his molars, so I guess I should cut him a little slack, poor guy. I'm just afraid he's going to end up with no fingers with the way he's been chewing on them. I wish those teeth would come through already! At least he actually slept through the night last night for a change (hooray!), though I didn't (sigh). I don't know why we don't follow a routine on a regular basis (hmmmm, I guess it's not technically a routine then, eh?) because he does so much better when we do. He sleeps longer, and tends to nap better during the day. Bad mommy, no chocolate.
On a funnier note, we must get or make some sock puppets for him -- he has so much fun with them. My friend Ally was making one of her Pooh-bear socks "talk" to him and he just had a blast. In her puppet voice, she asked him for his nuk (pacifier) and he sighed, took the nuk out of his mouth and popped it into the puppet's!
We were playing with this later, and pretended that the puppet had swallowed it, and Jason couldn't stop laughing when we pretended that the puppet coughed it back up. I know that sounds gross, but it was hysterical, and it's amazing how you'll forgo propriety to elicit the giggles of the young.
