Jen's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 11, 2000

So, Jason's been doing some funny stuff lately, and I thought I'd share. Last night, he and I were in the car while Steve got some groceries, and we were playing a repeat the name game. At one point I asked him what Daddy's name was, and he grinned and said, "Cookie!" So then I asked him what Mommy's name was and he said, "Owie!" Gee, do you think he hears that enough from me as I try and get my 33 week pregnant self off the couch?

One of his favorite books is "Moo, Baa, La la la" by Sandra Boynton, and he pretty much knows it by heart, so sometimes we'll just recite it without the book around. Yesterday, I got to the last part, which is "It's quiet now, what do you say?" and Jason clapped his hands together, like he was closing the book, and said, "The end!"

I'm also trying to break him of the habit of sampling his own nose goblins. (Yuck!) Well, this morning, after removing a finger from a nostril, he held it up to me (oh, the joy) and said "eeeeewww!" and then was generally confused about what to do with it. LOL, I guess by the time you're old enough to remember, you've got it all figured out. It hadn't occurred to me that it wouldn't be obvious what to do with a booger. The things we have to learn!
