Jen's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
August 31, 1999
Well, we got back from our vacation to Colorado and we had a wonderful time. I couldn't believe how good Jason was on the trip. I think that having the bag of new toys really did the trick. What I would do next time is have another bag of toys for the way home; he got a little bored on the second half of the trip.I couldn't believe how beautiful a lot of the countryside was on our way there (Highway 50 through California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado). We have a few of pictures up at Jason's site so take a look.
The cutest thing is that on the trip, Jason started to give kisses. Before I'd say, "Give mama a kiss," and it wouldn't make sense to him. Then one evening, I said it, and he came over and kissed me. It was sooooooooo sweet (if a little soggy :).
Today was an interesting day -- the weather was very much like the day that I found out I was pregnant with him, and all those memories came flooding back. All the anticipation, the joy, the trepidation -- all of it. And then here is this beautiful golden-haired boy whom I love with all my heart. The journey of being pregnant seemed so long, and now here I am with a little boy who's walking all over the place, talking like a madman, and discovering the world. What a wonder.
