Jen's Diary Entries

May 1, 2000

May Day! May Day! LOL, well, it is! Spring is one of my favorite times of the year, and this one has been particularly splendid. Jason poked another tooth through over the weekend, so he's been in a better mood the past couple of days. Yesterday, he was such a sweetie. I was stretched out on the couch (morning sickness is still kicking my butt), and he'd play with his toys, then come up and I'd try and catch him, he'd run away giggling, and the whole process would repeat. It was so nice to be able to play with him in a way that I could handle. I've been missing playing with him, but I'm just not up to anything rambunctious right now.

After a while of playing with various toys, he climbed up next to me and fell asleep. It was so wonderful just lying there with my arm around him, our noses just inches apart. It was a perfect mommy moment, and I felt like it was the best thing in whole world.

Sigh, I've lost Jason's hair-stylist. Not a great tragedy I know, but he was so good with Jason that it made hair cuts a breeze. I drove by the shop the other day, and it was a different salon, so I don't know if he's totally gone, or just moved. Oh well, Jason's daycare provider offered to give it a go. She cuts her family's hair, and has done mine on occasion, so I'm sure she'll do fine, I just really liked this guy!
