Jen's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 25, 2000

mom and jason Jason's hitting is really starting to become a problem. I talked to his daycare provider about it yesterday, and he doesn't hit there, so it seems to be limited to smacking Steve and me. I suppose that's better than Jason hitting everybody in sight, but it's still frustrating.

I'm almost positive that it is an attention-getting device. Morning sickness has really been zapping my energy lately, so I really haven't been able to spend the one-on-one time with him that I normally do. Steve spends time with him, but he's also taking care of me and the rest of the household responsibilities, so he's pretty strapped for time as well. I just don't know what more I can do right now.

I'm trying to devote as much time to him as I can, and really give him my attention when he's with me, but it's hard right now. We're also trying to be very consistent in letting him know that hitting is not acceptable behavior. This will pass I suppose, and hopefully I'll be feeling more human in the next few weeks.

P.S. My company took a bunch of black and white staff pictures last week, and there was a really cute one of Jason and me that I had to share!
