Well hi Everyone,
Let me tell you the last couple weeks have been a mess.......we have been sick, sick and more sick....We have a long lasting virus that is traveling through the house...it causes high fevers, nasty coughing and a nasty nose. It started with Josh, who barely ever gets sick, went to Kayla, now it has hit my husband and I. Thankfully it hasn't gotten the older boys yet. Hopefully Andrew doesn't get it because of his asthma. This virus makes it very hard for an asthmatic to breath.....let me tell you.
Well onto happier things, the three younger kids are FINALLY done for Christmas shopping, including stocking stuffers, I have to get the oldest a few more little things and all his stocking stuffers, and of course I didn't get any of our parents my sister and her boyfriend...and 2 of his kids, I also didn't get my hubby yet or my secret Santa at work....but who's counting. It's been rough with DH being out of work, he's getting unemployment and normally with that and my check it would be enought to get us by, but not during the holidays.....I can't wait until Christmas is over!!!
We went yesterday and got a layaway off that had all of our window stuff and the lights for outside, so my DH and his cousin(he lives with us) can get to it.....of course I woke up this morning to a coating of snow...UGH, they better get to shoveling so they can finish decorating. We bought a prelit tree this year...I absolutely love it. I would love to have a real tree, but with Andrew and myself having asthma, it's not worth it.
Pictures
I was away at my father's last weekend and I asked my DH to take Kayla to get her pics done, since the boys all got school pics. I told him to leave her hair down, since his way of doing her hair is to pull it all back to her neck, I wouldn't mind that if her hair was long enough for it, but it's not, and it just looks plain silly because the top of her hair falld forward, and the back is pulled back...what a mess. Well he said not to worry because DS girlfriend was coming over to do it for him....thankfully, or so I thought. I come home, look at the pics,a nd guess what. the back of her hair is back and the top is in her face......WHAT PART OF LEAVE HER HAIR DOWN DID THEY NOT UNDERSTAND...... not to mention that the person taking the pics put her in exactly the same pose for all 7 pictures....hello, even I could have done better than that. Thankfully I had an appointment for that Tuesday night, so I made sure we got spme real cute ones of her. I told DH to cancel the other pics, but of course he didn't. I hope he doesn't think that picture is being given to anybody. I know I sound like a spoiled brat, but pictures last forever, they should look nice!!!!!
Well I'm off to wake up DH to start the decorating...
Happy Holidays Everyone,
Janis and Kayla (my almost 3 yr old.)
