Janis's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 5, 2003

Hi all,
Well I've been to work for a week now, and so far it's been good. They were nice enough to put me on an earlier schedule for the time being, so I'm home by 6:00, giving me a little more time with the kids. It's really killing me though, because in order to get out 2 hours earlier, I have to start 2 hours earlier. I have to get up at 5:00 am, but it's worth it.
My husband took the boys camping this weekend, so I had Kayla all to myself, and let me tell you, she's a handful. My little girl is nothing but energy and curiosity. I forgot how trying and amazing this age can be. She is picking up on so much. It's nice to know that she understands me when I talk to me. She doesn't always listen to me, but she understands.
The big girl bed is not as easy as it was the first week. At first she was afraid to get out until we came and got her, not anymore. You put her up for a nap, and she quietly follows you back down. I'm trying to be patient and understanding with her, but it's not always easy.
My baby has really developed a personality. She enjoys making people laugh and once she finds out what you find funny, she'll do it over and over. She's such a little ham.
Well I just heard her little feet hit the floor upstairs, gotta go try to coax her into a nap.
Til next time
Janis and Kayla
