June 12, 2004
Hi Everyone,
I haven't posted in a while because there really hasn't been too much going on with Kayla. She's being her normal little devilish self, but nothing BIG has happened with her.
Well I went out and bought a new van on Tuesday, and now you can't keep me in the house!!!! It's alot bigger than the other van and ALOT newer. I got a 2004 Chevy venture, and I Love It!!!!! So do the kids. There is room for 8 people in this van, which is nice because the kids all get PLENTY of room. It has a remote that locks and unlocks the car, and a button that opens the passenger side sliding door. It also has a built in booster seat!!!! I think that is so cool, but I am a little weary of using it. I have to read up on it a little bit and find out if they're as safe as the ones I'm used to using. All the kids have picked out their respective spots, so hopefully there won't be too much fighting about who is sitting where. We didn't trade in the other van, my husband is going to drive that one, so now we both have more than enough room to take the kids out.
We also added a new addition to our family. We broke down and got the kids (and my brat of a husband)a dog, and he is beautiful. My husbands birthday is today, and that's what he wanted, so that's what he got. He is an 11 month old yellow lab mix, named Buddy, and he really is a sweetie. We just got him yesterday, and he is already a loved member. He's great with the kids, and just an all around mild mannered, sweet dog, and now I'm glad that I finally agreed to him.
Tomorrow is me and my husbands wedding anniversary, we will be married 6 years. That seems so crazy to me. Some days it feels like we just got married, and other days I can't believe it's ONLY been six years, and boy have we come a long way. When we first got married we lived off peanut butter and jelly, spaghetti and mac and cheese, used public transportation. Now we have two nice minivans (especially mine...lol), a nice sized house, and I can't remember the last time we ate any of them foods because twe HAD to, now we eat them because we want to...lol. I look back to when we first got married and wonder how we survived. That was probably the hardest time in my life, but probably also the happiest. We're definately doing better on the surface, now we gotta work on us. We have to reestablish having a relationship "outside" of parenting. Hopefully we can do it!!!
Well have a good week, I'll try to get a new entry up sooner this time!!!
