Hi Everyone,
I know it's been a while since I've posted, but nothing has really been going on.
The only thing that happened this month at all was that Kayla went away for a week, and boy did we miss her!!!!!!! My friend, who lives up the mountains, came to stay at my house for a weekend. This is a friend who lived with us for a little while, and Kayla absolutely LOVES her. When my friend was going home, she asked if Kayla coould go with her for the week. It was hard to let her go, but I knew it would be a nice experience for her. We live in the city, on a main street, with no yard. There was a shooting out back of my house that week, so now I can't even take the kids out there to play.
My friend on the other hand lives in the country, with lots of land, and a big, safe yard for Kayla to play in. Kayla had a blast!!!! She was outside from morning to night, and just got spoiled rotten. I called and talked to her several times a day, and I missed her terribly. I was supposed to go after work to pick her up. I couldn't even make it through the day, I took a half day from work to go see her. I couldn't take not seeing her anymore.
Of course when I got there she was asleep!!!! But she woke right up for me. I ended up staying the whole weekend and coming home on Monday. It was so nice to spend a whole weekend with just her. She was such a little sweetheart the whole weekend, but she wouldn't let me out of her sight...lol.
When we came home on Sunday, you would have thought the President walked in my house with the reception she got. She got hugs and kisses, and was just treated like a little queen the whole day, they just couldn't get enough of her.
I know this journal is about Kayla, but I do want to make a side note. My son Joshua is celebrating his fifth birthday tomorrow. I know he is too young to read this now, but hopefully one day he will be able to see it.
Josh,
I can't believe it has been five years since the day you came into my life. My third born son, you have been a dream come true. I love you so much Josh. You have the sweetest personality and kindest heart in the world, I can't imagine my life without you little man. I hope you enjoy your special day, and have the best year possible, you deserve it!!
I love you buddy,
Mommy
