Hi Everyone,
I know it's been a while since I've posted, but there has been alot going on.
My husband and I have not been doing well lately, and it really has put a strain on everyone's life. Although we tried hard not to fight in front of the kids, they must have really felt the tension because none of them have really been themselves. Thomas has had an attitude towards his father, Andrew has been very unruly, and disobedient in school, Joshua has gone between being very clingy, to hyper and uncontrollable, and Little Miss Kayla has been literally begging for attention. It got so bad that I told DH that I would be looking for a new place for me and the kids, since he refused to move out. It was very stressful and depressing, but DH and I have decided to try to work things out, we even went out on a date last night. We went out to a restaurant called Steak and Ale, and then to see Passion. What an eye opening movie. I went to Catholic school, so we were always taught exactly what happened to Jesus, and the torture he went through, but it's one thing to read it, and another thing totally to see it. It really made us think about the important things in life, and realize how petty we were being. Hopefully we will be able to make it through this hard time, because if we do, I know we will be so much better in the end!!
ABOUT LITTLE MISS KAYLA
It seems like there is always something going on health wise for Kayla. On Tuesday her nose started running, which is normal for a two year old. On Thursday when I got home from work she was sleeping. She woke up a little while later, and I noticed she was breathing a little hard. By the middle of the night she was struggling. I finally got her breathing settled down about 6:00 A.M and she went to sleep. Not good for me, because I had to get up and get ready for work. So with very little sleep, I got a shower, called DH's cell phone to let him know that he might want to make Kayla a doctor appointment for that day, and got her brothers up for school.
When DH got home, he pretty much went right to our room, which is where Kayla was. He came running down stairs for Andrew's inhaler, Kayla was having an asthma attack. My poor baby was struggling to catch her breath, and I didn't even know. Thankfully we have a nebulizer and the medicine for it from Andrew's last asthma attack, so I gave her a treatment which seemed to help her a little. I got ahold of the doctor, and he told me to be there in an hour. By now Jim was passed out from working 12 hours the night before, so I had to take her on the bus. The fresh air actually helped her. When we got to the doctor's she was wheezing pretty bad, so they decided to give her another treatment in the office. The bad news is, they believe this is definately the beginnings of asthma, and not just a one time thing. I have asthma, and so does DS Andrew, so I'm not too surprised. I just hate to see her go through it. It is very hard for to understand that running around makes it worse, and she is so full of energy, it's impossible to keep her still. Hopefully she won't have it as severe as Andrew did at her age, it is very hard to see them struggling for breath at such a young, but still wanting to run around.
Well I made this long enough, hopefully I didn't bore you too much :)
Til next time,
Janis and Kayla
