Hi Everyone!
Merry Christmas!
Josh had a great Christmas. We went up to my parents house. Both of my sisters, my brother and their families were there! It has been about a year and a half since we have all been together. In fact Josh was 3 weeks old the last time he saw my two sisters and their families.
Christmas Eve I worked a short day and Josh and I went up to my parents right after work. My husband met us up there a little later as he had to pick up a last minute gift (guess who that was for, LOL!). We stayed for dinner and got a chance to visit with family, but all the gift exchanges and so forth happened the next day.
Christmas Day Josh woke up, had breakfast and then we went to see what Santa had left! Santa gave him a couple of books, and an Elmo audio cassette to listen to in the car, and an inflatable play gym with lots of plastic balls. After the Santa gifts we opened all the gifts from John's parents (they live in Florida). He was having such a good time playing with all his new toys, that it took us longer than we expected to get ready for the Christmas celebration at my parent's house. We were a little over an hour late and Josh's cousins were sitting by the Chrismas tree checking out all the gifts. They were very happy to see us, because that meant the gift opening could begin! Josh got so many toys, I don't know where we will put them all. He got a few clothes too (which is always a good thing for me!).
The greatest thing for me was to see my nephews play with Josh. They are older, but were so good with him. Josh would follow them all around and they rough housed with him and played games with him. It really made me wish that they lived closer. Oh well, they will be here until January 8th, so I hope to see them a lot while they are here.
This is the time of year that I reflect on my many blessings. Before Josh came into my life I just never knew I could love someone so much. I feel so lucky to have him, my husband, my family and my health. I have been truly blessed.
Josh will be 19 months old in a couple of days, and is due for his second flu shot tomorrow. I hate to take him in for a non-required shot, but if this will keep him from getting the flu this year it is so worth it!
As for me I am on cycle #2, day 10. I am hoping to have another little angel in my life this time next year.
Thanks for reading!
Janet and Josh
