Hi Everyone!
Sorry it has been almost 2 weeks since my last update. I have been so busy with the holidays quickly approaching and I haven't had much to report.
Josh is talking up a storm! He is saying more and more words and is babbling a lot. Sometimes he will say something over and over and I feel bad because I don't understand what he is trying to tell me. It took me awhile to understand his word for Grandma. He calls her Amina and he calls my Dad PaPa. He also says Santa, but is still afraid to get too close. He calls in "Anta".
We got our Christmas tree on Saturday! We let Josh pick it out and he did great! He helped me decorate, but has had more fun taking the ornaments off the tree after we were done. Every ornament in his reach is "kid safe" and all the glass or fragile ornaments are up high. I am really looking forward to Christmas this year because Josh is old enough to enjoy the gifts and the festivities. My entire family will be here for Christmas this year, so it will be nice for Josh to see all his Aunts and Uncles. My two sisters live out of state and my brother lives in Northern California, so we don't get the whole family together very often.
Josh is also enjoying all the Holiday lights and decorations out doors. Most houses on our street have lights so he likes to walk up and down the street and check them all out. It has been pretty cold in the evenings here, so I am always trying to encourage him to go back home but he could stay out all night looking at the lights!
I think Josh is getting his 2 year molars. He already has 16 teeth! He is drooling like crazy, and has been sticking his whole hand in his mouth. I haven't seen any signs of new teeth in his mouth, but he has been more fussy than usual typical teething behavior.
As for me, AF started yesterday so there won't be an exciting Christmas announcement this year. I had a 32 day cycle this month but I tested on day 30 and it came up negative. I am a little disappointed, but it took 11 months to conceive Josh and it was well worth the wait!
