Hi Everyone!
Not much to report this week. Josh had a virus last weekend that caused a low grade fever and some spots on his bottom and thighs. It scared me at first because when we phoned the doctor she said it may be the measles! I'm glad to say that was a false alarm, but I did stay at home with Josh for the first 3 days of last week to make sure everything was okay and the spots were not contageous. As it turns out, he also got a large sore in his moth which was quite painful. He didn't want to eat anything, but was drinking a lot of milk. It was really sad because he was hungry and would make the sign for "food" but when I fed him he would cry because the food would iritate his mouth sore.
The doctor said that this was just a result of the fever that he had a virus. She said that after the fever subsided he would no longer be contageous. She did warn me that the moth sore would take longer to heal than those on his bottom and thighs, but there really wasn't much we could do to speed up the process.
He is doing much better now, but hasn't really adapted to the day light savings time change yet. I tried to put him down at his normal bed time last night, but he started getting cranky about a hour early because his body was telling him it was bed time. I kept him up for about 45 minutes, but he got up an hour early this morning, so all I really accomplished was taking 45 minutes of sleep away from him. I guess we will just have to keep trying.
Well, that's about it for this update.
Thanks for reading!
Janet and Josh
