Hi Everyone!
This week I had my anual exam with my OBGYN. I can't believe it has been just over a year since my last visit, time sure flies. I have a great doctor and, although the procedure isn't much fun, I really look forward to my appointments with him. His wife had a baby when I was pregnant and we compared notes about our Son's. He always jokes around and makes me laugh and his nurse is great too.
So, seeing that it has been over a year since I had Josh the first question out of his mouth was "When are you going to start trying for another one?" I am actually anxious to get started TTC, but my DH is a little hesitant. I think we were both surprized about how much work a baby actually is. That and DH just started a new job a couple of months ago. He wants to make sure he is secure at his job before we have another baby.
These are good reasons for waiting and we agreed to start TTC when Josh is 2, which is 9 months away. When we started TTC the first time we tried for almost a year and finally got PG on my first dose of clomid. That coupled with my age (35), lead my doctor to say "Don't wait too long, Janet".
I know that statement doesn't mean much, but it made me leave the doctors office in a rush to get home and start TTC right away. What's too long anyway? Will I miss the opportunity to have 2 kids? I realize I have read way too much into this, but it's my nature what can I say.
As for Josh, he had a slight ear infection this week, but is doing much better since we started the antibiotics. I must say that as much as I love his daycare the biggest draw back has been how often he gets sick. It seems like there is always something going around and Josh is sure to get it (at least once)! Of course, once he gets sick, he passes it onto me. We have both been out sick several times this year. We have had everything from the stomach flu to pink eye (each twice!) Oh well, we are both building up our immune systems together!
Josh is getting his eye teeth now. He has been teething since he was 3 months old and with these 2 new teeth, he has a total of 14 teeth! He has also started biting in anger. He has biten some of the other kids in his daycare if they take toys from him or try to get in front of him on the slide. He will also bite me at times if I take something away from him. It doesn't happen regularly, but it seems to happen in spurts. He may bite 5 times in one day and not bite again for several weeks. If anyone has any words of wisdom about biting, I'd love to hear them.
I am hoping to have some pictures up next week, so keep an eye out for them.
Thanks to everyone who has posted my board! I love vistors and do my best to answer everyone quickly.
Janet
