Hi Everyone!
It has been far too long since my last entry, but life has been hectic and even now I really shouldn't be taking the time to update. I am going to try to make this informative, but quick.
Josh's preschool teacher informed me the other day that Josh has taken a real interest in potty training. From what I understand a couple of the other kids in his class are in the midst of potty training and Josh wants to join in! She was telling me this and I was so surprised. Josh has regressed at home where potty training is concerned and will only go on the toilet once a day. Ms K (Josh's teacher) is confident that Josh is ready so we have decided to start him training this weekend and we will be sending him to school in big boy underwear on Monday. It's funny how nervous and excited I am about the whole thing. I guess I just feel like my baby is growing up!
My birthday was a couple of days ago and I think Josh was more excited about it than I was. I don't think Josh really cares who's birthday it is as long as he is included in the celebration and he gets a piece of cake! We went out to dinner and the restaurant gave me a complementary ice cream sundae with loads of whipped cream and sprinkles. Josh's eyes lit up when he saw the waiter place it on the table and was anxious for me to share my treat. Josh helped me blow out the candle and I think everyone knew what my wish was. I am wishing that I am PG and a healthy baby is on the way! That would be the best birthday present ever! Josh started out scooping up the whipped cream and ice cream with his spoon, but soon gave up the spoon and was taking handfulls of whipped cream with sprinkles. It was really funny!
I am re-thinking my plan to skip Josh's birthday party this year. Although, we still plan on taking him to Disneyland, I am thinking we will also have a small get together with his class mates. We have been to 5 birhtday parties in the last couple of months for other kids in Josh's class. Now, Josh is very interested in when his birthday party is. He knows his birthday is coming up, so I am thinking we can put together something small and low key for him to enjoy. I haven't made any final decisions, so we will have to wait and see.
As for TTC, today is cycle 18 day 19. I saw Dr H last Wednesday and he did an ultrasound to check the maturity of my eggs. Because we started the medication a day earlier this cycle and he thought that we may have waited a day too long last time, he decided to do the IUI on Thursday (day 12). I thought this was a little early, but I am all for less waiting so it should be a short cycle this month unless, of course, I am PG. Dr H told me to go ahead and test on day 27, so only 8 more days of waiting for that. For some reason I am more confident this cycle then the last one. I can't really say why exactly, but that scares me a little too. I just don't want to get my hopes up and be disappointed again.
Well, send me all the luck you can muster up, I need as much as I can get!
Thanks for reading!
