Hi Everyone!

Well, Josh got his stitches out (agian). The doctor must have thought I was crazy because I wouldn't let him leave the room until I thoroughly checked Josh's chin to make sure all the thread had been removed! Another funny thing happened. I had explained to the doctor that Josh had 3 stitches. The doctor examined Josh's chin and said there were only 2. I had to look for myself, because I was sure he was wrong, but sure enough there were only 2 stitches there. Now, I watched closely as the ER doctor stitched Josh's chin and I was sure there were 3. I have dabbed his chin with peroxide twice a day and put neosporin and a bandage on it too. How could it be possible that I didn't notice there were only 2 stitches. So, after the doctor removed the stitches I went home and asked my husband how many stitches Josh had. He said "3". I was so glad that he said that! We were both watching the doctor stitch him up. Is it possible that a stitch came out? I don't see how, he had a water proof bandage on all day. The only time there was no bandage was at night, while he slept. I have convinced myself now that I must have thought I saw the doctor put 3 stitches in and told my husband there were 3. I don't see how both of us could be wrong about it. Oh well, the stithces are out and Josh's chin looks good. I have been putting vitamin E on it and I am keeping the bandages on for a while. By the way if any of you have children that drool a lot and need to bandage an area on the face, I highly recommend the water proof bandages. They are great!

Although, Josh has not had any more visits to the ER, he did catch a virus of some sort at the end of last week. In fact, on Thursday, when I took him to the doctor to remove the stitches he felt a little warm to me. I asked the doctor to check his ears, throat and lungs, which he did and all were fine. The doctor told me that there was a virus going around that caused high fevers with few other symtoms. It lasts about 3 days and there really isn't much we can do for it. Sure enough that is exactly what Josh had. Thursday night, Friday and Saturday Josh had fevers ranging from 100 to 104, but on Sunday he was fine.

Although the fever made him a bit irritable, it sure didn't slow him down. Josh wanted to go outside the entire time he was home sick. He would go to the front door and say "ouside" "ouside". I kept thinking I should keep him in because the weather hasn't been great, but I finally decided to bundle him up and take him for a walk. He was just going stir crazy in the house. I did my best to avoid other people, especially kids because I didn't want to get anyone else sick. On Saturday it was pouring rain and John bundled him up and put his raincoat and rain boots on and they went out in the front yard and launched paper boats down the gutter. Josh had a great time as his Daddy ran after him with an unbrella held over his head. Josh stayed pretty dry, but John was soaked!

Josh has gotten 1 more of his 2 year old molars. That makes 3 total. One more tooth and he will be done teething for a long time! I am hoping this means the drooling will stop (or at least slow down). I would like to be able to keep the same shirt on Josh for more than an hour at a time.

Josh's vocabulary is really increasing. He is communicating more and more every day. He says more sentences now. He says things like "I got it" "I love you" "dinner ready". He has also started snapping his fingers, which he has been trying to do for a while now and is very cute.

Although Josh is not a big TV watcher, he enjoys Sesame Street, Elmo's world videos, Blues Clues (on occasion) and lately has been asking to watch Beauty and the Beast. It took me a while to figure out what he wanted because he just kept saying "Beast" "Beast" and would get frustrated because I didn't understand what he wanted. I think I am going to make a trip to the Disney Store for some new videos because I have now watched the first part of Beauty and the Beast countless times (he never watches the entire movie).

As for me, AF came 3 days ago. It is amazing how fast a cycle goes by when you aren't counting days or anxiously awaiting the date that you can actually test!

That's all for this week. Thanks for reading!
