Well, this week my favorite Claire-story is that she now can sing almost all of the words to "Take Me Out To The Ball Game". It truly is the cutest thing I've ever heard. The first time I heard her sing it was at a little rehearsed "concert" that she and her father put on for me in our living room. I was called out to the living room to be treated to their duet!!! It nearly brought tears to my eyes (ok, it DID bring tears to my eyes!;0) ) to hear her little voice singing "Buy me peanuts and cracky-jacks!!"!!! And at the end of the song, she yells "YEAY!!!" and claps her hands like it was the coolest thing in the whole world!! I'm so proud of her!! She really DOES learn new things every day!!
Not much else is going on here. Sometimes, I think that is a good thing. She is growing all the time and learning all kinds of new tricks! At this very moment, she is tramping through the house wearing a pair of my sandals....
"Claire, aren't those mommy's shoes"
"NO! ME shoes!!!"
"Aren't they a little big for you"
"NOPE!"
Well... I guess I don't care if she doesn't!
We have her second birthday party just about completely planned. All I really need to do is order the food and the cake...and pray it doesn't rain! It's not until August 18th, but I try to be on top of these things!! (It's amazing how organized you try to be once you have kids. What's more amazing is how UNorganized you END up being!! EEK!) I am hoping to take some good pictures of Claire and her little friends and cousins enjoying the festivities to share here on our diary.
Well, gosh, I really don't have much else to tell about this week. It's been pretty quiet. I hope that doesn't mean that this is the calm before the storm... yikes. We'll be back again soon, and hopefully, with some new pictures to post!!
