Hannah's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

December 7, 2001

Well the Christmas tree is up and the lights decorate the front of our house and I'm so excited with the thought of Christmas, sharing it with my big man and little man. I've nearly finished all my shopping, just a few for Cameron's family to get.....they're always hard to buy for. I've nearly finished writing my cards to post, that should happen this weekend.

I went for my 16 week Obyn appointment on Wednesday and we heard the heartbeat. That was fantastic, but we didn't hear it for long as the little babe kept moving around. My Obyn said that my size was good but I had traces of thrush in my urine. I seem to be prone to thrush but it's been worse now that I'm pregnant and with the heat we've been having. I'm treating it so it shouldn't be a problem. Other than that everything is good. We've booked our 19 week scan for 27 December 2001 but we are travelling to Cam's grandparent's straight afterwards (an 8 hour trip) so I won't be able to post until we return around 3 January 2002. I think we'll find out the sex....the only people I'm telling are you girls and my best friend as it gets tricky as to who wants to know and who doesn't. And that's if the baby cooperates and we can see.

Louis and I went to a friends house today and got together with the girls from work who have had their babies in the last few months and what started out as morning tea extended from 10.30am until 4.00pm!!! We just sit and talk and the girls feed and Louis plays and eats. The next day is at our house on 18 Decembe which should be fun. I'm going to put on morning tea and then we're going to order pizza for lunch, our Christmas celebrations. I'm looking forward to it and we had a blast today even though Louis didn't have asleep until we got home at 4.00pm (he fell asleep only 2 minutes from home).

My Mum had surgery on her foot today and we're waiting to hear how she is. We'll go and visit her tonight at home, that's if they let her home. It's only meant to be day surgery to remove a growth in her foot
which is causing her pain and her toes to go numb. But she's a tough cookie and won't rest for long, despite us telling her that she'll have to stay still for a few days.

Louis is much better now after having Chicken Pox. He is still a little scabby but his health is good. He repeats everything we say and loves going shopping. He always says to me "Bop?", asking if we're going to the shops. Everything he says is really emphasised. Things like "Juice" become "Juuuuiiiiicccce" with a screwed up face. He is just lovely at the moment. I know I say it all the time but I love squeezing him so tight. He won't let me stay in bed in the mornings and he knows that ifhe gives me a kiss and a 'squeeze' I'll get up. On the days I don't work we put the TV on and eat our breakfast while Cameron gets ready for work. We watch Teletubbies and The Bear in the Big Blue House. He loves the theme music but isn't particularly fond of the shows.

Well, I'd better get off line so I can check on my Mum and see if she's home. MY brother who still lives at home is waiting for the phone call. Take care of yourselves and I hope things are well in your part of the world. Kisses to the little ones.

Love Hannah & Louis XXX
