Congratulations to my best friend who finally had her baby boy at 42 weeks!!! A caesarean was the order of the day after the little fellow became distressed and her history of LONG labours. Harrison was born a healthy 8lb 9oz and 55cm long.
Now, what are the odds of the last 4 girls I know having caesareans??? All 4 are young, healthy girls. 1 had pre eclamsia and low platelets. The other had high blood pressure, the 3rd was breech with no hope of turning and my best friend's baby was distressed. I surely hope this is not pre-empting anything!!!
Things are going well for me, or so it seems. It's hard to tell when you can't feel any movement but my BB's are still sore and I feel quite ill after I eat. My little belly is growing to the point that I have started wearing some of my maternity clothes at 13 weeks 4 days. I can't wait to feel the little person moving around inside me. That's what I missed most after having Louis.
Speaking of Louis, my gorgeous little man, he is just the sweetest. He has become much more affectionate the least few months. Generally, when you ask for a kiss or a cuddle he gives you one. He sleeps through the night most nights and wakes at 6.00am. We have no trouble getting him to bed at night. He calls out some nights and I simply check that he hasn't dirtied his nappy (usually a bedtime ritual)and then tell him to go to sleep. He'll go off on his own without much fuss.
He loves fruit!!! Louis loves oranges and even had his first peach the other day. I cut the oranges up into 8ths and he eats the flesh and leaves the skin. He is so smart.
Louis has started to string a few words together, enough for us to understand. He loves Cameron's work car and always says "daddy's car" if he sees something that resembles a 4 wheel drive (we could be looking at a semi trailer some days, LOL). He's just beautiful and I seem to cuddle him too much, if that's possible, as he gets annoyed with me and pushes me away.
His memory is great. He remembers that approximately 3 weeks ago we had haircuts and grabs his hair and says "Nip, nip". He knows where the chocolate is hidden in the fridge and even OPENED the fridge the other day!!! What next?
We'll I'd better go for now. Happy Birthday to the big girl Pixie who turns 2 in a few days. Kisses to all the little/big babies.
Love Hannah & Louis XX
