I've had to keep the biggest secret of my life, from my Mother!!! As of yesterday, I could freely speak about the exciting surprise she received. Mum has one sister living approximately 1 hour away and one sister living in England. She hasn't seen her sister living in England for 20 YEARS!! My Aunty in Brisbane confided in my sisters and brother that Bren was coming over from England and wanted to surprise my Mum. There was a double whammy though, Bren was acutally coming out for her HONEYMOON (she got married the day before she left England!!). Bren lost her husband quite a few years ago to cancer and she's been with Philip for about 3 years.
So, Mum arrived at my Aunty's house yesterday evening and walked into the house. She realised there were other people there and when she walked through the door she couldn't believe that it was Bren standing in the lounge room. I got teary eyed when Mum rang to ask me how I managed to keep the secret (I am terrible at keeping secrets, always have been) as I knew she just received the best surprise of her life. We are all going down to Brisbane this weekend for a family reunion....I can't wait. I was 8 when I last saw Bren!!!
My little boy is full of fun and happiness these days. I vacuumed the floor this morning which proves to be a game, Louis sits on the body of the vacuum cleaner and rides it as I clean....a funny sight. He is sleeping better at nights. The last 3 nights he's slept through from 7.00pm to 5.30am which is great. He still has a cough and seems to cough early in the night, when it cools down but it doesn't seem to affect his sleeping. I know when we go away this weekend it will be a different story (he is always unsettled in his port-a-cot).
I purchased some summer clothes for the growing little man. He is 79cm tall now (31 inches). I can't wait for the weather to warm up so he get into his colourfull gear. I have some more on laybuy (mostly outfits for daycare) which I will get off in a few weeks.
We got back to our OB on Monday. I was due for my period yesterday but nothing has arrived yet. I feel crampy but my breasts aren't sore (they don't get sore before my period though)..........so I guess the next few days will tell. I am not getting my hopes up because I don't consider my cycle to be regular even though the last few have been 23/24 days.
So, that's it for another week. Keep smiling and hugs to your bubs.
Love Hannah & Louis XXX
