Hannah's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
July 31, 2001
We have just had a wonderful weekend away (Friday to Sunday) at a little township in the hills approximately 2 hours drive from where we live. We went with 3 other couples (Louis was the only child) we work with. We had the best time!!! Louis doesn't seem to mind there being no other children - he's too young to want to play with others. The house is in the hinterland of the Gold Coast and we could see the coast from the huge picture windows - heaven on earth! It was quite chilly but we had a fire in our bedroom and there was a great fireplace in the living area. We all put in for food and pitched in doing the chores. I love getting away and staying somewhere with friends, but I must admit I love being home as well. I'll include the link so you can have a look at the website:-

Louis is still a little miserable as he has a cold - just a cough now, his nose doesn't seem to be running anymore. He is really trying hard to say all the things we say and the words he has been saying for some time are becoming clearer. He still loves having a bath except when he is dog tired. He now hops on his tummy and 'swims' in the bath, kicking his little legs, which makes him look soooooo long. I can't believe he is now 16 months old!!!! He loves to kick his ball or throw it. Louis owns about 4 balls and he often comes out of the toy room with all 4 of them - balls fly everywhere, LOL.
He still sleeps with us when he wakes during the early hours of the morning except now he lift his head for me to put my arm under his head so we can cuddle as we fall back to sleep (I love it). I haven't made any progress in the weaning from bottles department - I'll admit that I haven't tired!!! I think I will leave it until closer to Christmas when we will slowly get him into a 'big' bed. The dummy will be the last thing to go, I think. He loves his dummy and I have no problem him having it to go to sleep.
We are having a weekend at home this weekend coming - yippeeeeeee!!! We are away the weekend after and then my best friend arrives a few weekends after that!!!! Where are the months going to??? I can't believe that my friends Helen, Rena, Peggy and Ally are moving right along in their pregnancies - go girls. For me the time has flown by but for you girls it might be a different story.
I go back to my Obstetrician on 13 August which is only 2 weeks away. I have decided to try Wild Yam Cream to boost my progesterone levels which I am applying after I ovulate. It can't hurt as your body will only take what it needs. Apparently it is good for the complexion as well, so it doubles as a moisturiser!!!
Well that's it for another week. I am writing this at work so I had better get back to typing for the Manager.
Sunshine and kisses to you and your babies.
Love Hannah & Louis XXX
