Hi gals,
I'll try to get as much down as I can whilst Louis is having a nap!!! He woke this morning at 5.30am and went back to bed at 9.30am!!!!! He was playing in his toy room and came running out crying, holding his head. I looked at the wound - a scratch near his ear - I suspect he scrapped it on the step ladder which is sitting near the door (Mummy's fault!!!). I realised that he was extremely tired due to waking up early, hence the going back to bed at 9.30am.
Let me tell you about my 2 nights away from my boys. They survived without me - what a kick to the old ego!!!! I expected numerous phone calls to the venue where I was staying, but no such thing happened. Cameron missed me but I suspect Louis had a case of "Out of mind, out of sight". I guess it made me feel a little sad, but also glad that they can let me go for some R & R and cope on their own.
I had a blast despite missing them, especially at bed time!!! The first night we had a dinner (Roast....yum) and the second night we got drunk!!!! Well, I certainly made a good effort of it. Myself and 3 other girls drank Sangrias all night and listened to music of the 80's - what a blast. We were rude and crude all night - nothing new for me - just the volume was a little louder....LOL). We successfully completed what we were actually there for - the Business planning, etc for the Dept.
Cameron and Louis came and picked me up from work and the look on Louis' face was just a classis. He saw me across the road and sat bolt-upright in his car seat and smiled and wriggled, trying to get to me. I guess that was worth the time away - just to see his little face light up. Well, that's it for another year (we go away once a year for work), but I am hoping that next year I'll miss out as the plan is to be at home with Louis and his little brother or sister (fingers crossed).
There is nothing to report on the TTC front. I ovulated last month but according to the temp chart I'm keeping, it happened very late (approx. 3 days before my AF). So I'm hoping that this month things happen a little more like they should.
Louis was sick (in my bed) yesterday morning. Cameron was away overnight and Louis was in bed with me. He woke at 5.30am and vomitted in the bed - YUKKY!!! We cleaned that up and about an hour later he vomitted again, all over himself and the bed!!! We cleaned that up and went back to sleep. We stayed at home (we normally go down town with my Mum and Sister) and he seemed to have no other ill effects for the rest of the day. I suspect it was a little tummy bug as I felt queezy last night, but nothing more than that.
He is getting to be a rough and tumble little man. He bangs the saucepans around, rips the tuppaware out of the cupboards and throws thing!!! He is very cute, I must admit but I don't want him to be the sort of kid who 'hurts' other kids. I guess they are just expressing themselves but I'm forever finding myself saying, "Louis, don't do that!" What a nag!!!!!!
I am thinking of weaning him off bottles. If any of you have any suggestions on how to go about it PLEASE let me know. He only has a bottle at bedtime (probably 2 a day) but he's in the habit of simply holding it as he's going to sleep. He asks for it if he wakes up and then just holds it!!! I need to get him out of the habit as he makes a mess in the bed...and he has dummy as well. We think it is the right time (if ever that occurs) so I need suggestions!!!!
Well my friends, I must go and do some housework - I'd much rather be here 'talking' to you all but the boring duties are beckoning me.
Kiss you babies for us - it's Red Nose Day here Downunder (in aid of SIDS) and it's such an important day!!! Bye for now,
Love Hannah & Louis XXX
