Hannah's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
June 17, 2001
This week I will spending 2 nights away from my little man!!!!! This will be the first time I've been away from him over night and I'm scared. He will be staying at home with his Daddy and I know Cameron will cope just fine, but I might not. I will miss him terribly. I'm going away for work this Wednesday and Thursday and even though I know my work team (yes, there will be approx. 25 of us) and I will have a blast, I can't help feeling a sense of loneliness in the pit of of my stomach. Louis is usually fine when I leave him at daycare or with his Aunty or Daddy but 2 whole, big, long, cold nights without my little soldier to cuddle and kiss is too much. It makes me want to cry!!!
On a totally different note (still sobbing.....) I have lashed out and got creative. I'm painting our bathroom - not the entire bathroom, just a decorative timber section which really needed a facelift. The majority of the bathroom is 'butter' yellow with timber floors and slate tiles in the shower/bath. I have gone with blue trim and green walls (I now you are saying 'yuk') but I thought the same thing when I started painting but it looks 'funky' - very modern and chic. I actually love it. My conservative friend (that 'beige and cream' sort of friend) came in and went "wow, it looks great, you are so game, I wouldn't have had the guts to do it, but I really like it". That really told me that it was a positive thing to do. I'm not outlandish, by any means, but I figure that with paint, if it doesn't work out, you simpy repaint it!!!
Well, Louis is slowly on the mend after having tonsillitis and hand, foot and mouth virus. He'll be going to daycare this week which will be good for him, he is probably bored out of his mind. We decided to take him to the park today, to get some fresh air after being cooped up in the house all week. He loved the fountain and despite our efforts to get him to walk further along the path and expore the rest of the park he wouldn't budge. I took some photos so hoefully they will be devoloped this week so I can post one on the introduction to our diary.
Well, must do some housework as Louis will be waking from his nap soon. Take care and to all my friends who have finally made it to Toddlers Today, CHEERS!!!!
Love and sunshine,
Hannah & Louis XXX
