Hannah's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

June 10, 2002

Things are going well here in our house now that Mitchell's a little more settled. He's a good feeder, putting on 700g in 10 days!!! Last Tuesday he weighed 8lb 1.5oz which is great considering he was 7lb 1oz born. I've lost nearly the entire 7kg I put on during PG. I was lucky not to put on too much weight and really only have 2kgs to lose, if any, depending on which day I get on the scales.

Louis is going well. We've had a few instances where we've had to get really cranky at him. I went into Louis' room to get his clothes for the day and left him in the lounge room with Mitchell, who was in his rocker. Next thing I heard Mitchell scream and when I ran out and asked Louis what had gone on he told me he bit Mitchell's finger!!! I was horrified and of course smacked Louis - I was so worried about Mitchell I felt sick to the stomach. I realise Louis is just testing the water to see what would happen if he bit Mitchell, I guess it's hard for a toddler to realise that a baby is a real person, not just a toy. I'm not looking forward to Cameron going back to work next week when I have to fend for myself. I guess it will be another adjustment for us all.

Well, I thought I would write just a quick update, still not sure if I'm going to continue here but I'll let you know before I drop off the face of the earth.

I just want to wish my friend Nino the best of luck with the impending arrival of her daughter. May the angels deliver your baby safely to you...........

Until next time, kisses to you all.

Love Hannah, Louis & Mitchell XXX
