Hannah's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 15, 2002

Has it really been nearly 2 weeks since I lasted posted an entry???? I can't believe how the weeks are rolling on by. A good indication though is the fact that I'm now in my 27 week of pregnancy!!! Can you believe I am now in my 3rd trimester? I'm so impatient this PG and just really want to meet this little person but I have to slow down and tell myself that the way things are going he'll be here before I know it. I'm shocked to think that I only have 13.5 weeks to go, approximately.

Our house is being painted as we speak. Well not literally as it's 8.10pm at night but during the day there is a hive of activity around the place as 4 men roll up at 7.00am and leave at 4.00pm. They sanded the first week which has left a thick coating of dust on everything in my house. I'm not prepared to clean until they have finished, what's the point I say!!! When they do leave it'll be a huge 'spring' clean, floor to ceiling. I need to wash all the walls, floors and ceiling, every ornament, book, appliance will also get the big scrub. I'm hating living in this dust but I think they might be finished this coming week. It looks fantastic though. We've gone from a pale blue with darker grey/blue trim to a mustard/yellow with blue, cream and reddy/brown trim. I know this probably sounds quite over-the-top but I'll be sure to post some photos on our family album when it's finished so you can see for yourselves. We love it!!!

My little man has been slightly under the weather these last few days. He's had a cold for a little over a week and last night woke at 3.30am and wouldn't go back to sleep. He wimpered, tossed, turned, moved from room to room trying to find comfort, and just simply didn't sleep. I think he had a tummy ache from eating, dare I say it, Mexican bean dip!!!!!!! It wasn't spicy or hot, but I think the beans had something to do with it. I distinctly remember an episode involving peas...........but it wasn't quite to the same extreme.

Of course Louis is still as cute as ever, verging on 2 years old. He loves telling me what he did during his days at daycare. I ask questions and he answers, most things are answered 'yes' which may be a little stretch of the truth. I ask him what he had for lunch, eg "Did you have pasta today?" "Yes", which probably was better than the vegemite sandwhich he really had. He is growing into a fine young boy, still throws a tantrum when he's told he can't have something but most of us still do that.....don't we?

My darling husband had a sun spot cut off the back of his neck last week leaving a 6cm cut and 7 stitches. He got the results back a few days ago and it was cancer!!!!! They assured us they got it all but it's worrying to think that at 28 years old he had a melanoma. He really needs to be careful from now on as he obviously wasn't when he was a boy.......but we come from the era of sun, sun, sun.

On that note I wish you all a fantastic week and please 'sqeeeeeeeeze' (as Louis would say) those little ones for us.

Love Hannah & Louis XXX
