"I yuv e-you."

That’s Cassie’s newest phrase. Coupled with a sweet, shy smile, it’s enough to melt my heart! It’s amazing how those three words can make up for all the stress in life. After a long day, having a little person cuddle with you and say "I love you," in her own little accent, erases everything else. Thanks, Cassie - I love you, too.

And thank you, Julianna! My little big girl made pee pee in the potty twice! She has been watching with great interest as CJ uses the potty more and more, and on Sunday, she decided she wanted to do it after her bath. She walked over to the potty, sat down, stood up, sat back down and made pee pee. She then got up, looked inside the potty, said "Pee pee!" and sat back down and made some more! I am so proud of her, and she is proud of herself.

Then on Tuesday, she did it again. She gets this look of concentration on her face when she does it - it’s very cute. I hope this interest continues! Julianna just this morning said to me, "I wuv you." It’s so interesting how the girls take turns doing new things. I love you, too, Jules.

CJ had a bathroom milestone, too. The other day we were in a professional building when he started looking like he had to go to the bathroom. I asked him if he had to go to the bathroom and he said yes. So we found the men’s room and went inside. CJ pulled down his pants and made pee pee on the toilet! That was so wonderful. I’m so proud of him! And he was very happy, too.

CJ says he loves me at least once a day. I love you, too, CJ. I wonder how long he’ll tell me this? I hope forever, no matter how strong the pressure to be independent or "cool" may be as he grows up. I love the age he's at now. Big enough to get around on his own and communicate his feelings, yet still small enough to cuddle and need me.

Halloween went really well this year. CJ knew exactly what to do, and the girls just followed his lead. Everyone had a great time, and fortunately, not too much candy was eaten!

It’s so hard to believe that this week is Thanksgiving. That means Christmas and New Year’s are right around the corner! I am going to have the kids find toys they don’t play with anymore so we can donate them to charity. It’ll be good for them to give, so they know the holidays are not only for receiving.

Yesterday we made biscuits in the shape of angels, Christmas trees and stars, using cookie cutters. The kids loved it. If you want to try it, just buy the buttermilk biscuit dough, roll it out, and let them have fun cutting out the shapes. We also made mini pizzas the other day, using biscuit dough, pizza sauce and shredded cheese. They like participating in preparing dinner - they feel they are helping me, and having fun, too.

Enjoy the holidays with your family, and thanks for being part of our iParenting community.
