Hi everyone,
Happy Friday!
The girls have been fighting a lot lately. Julianna always wants what Cassandra has, without fail. And when she can’t have it, she shrieks and screams so loud that you want to crawl into a hole and hide. Cassie cries and comes running to me in fear. Alvin says the girls are the two sides of my personality, LOL! I hope this phase mellows out over time, but I can see it getting worse and worse as they get older!
It’s so much fun shopping for girls. All the cute clothes in the stores are for girls. I always have a tough time finding nice things for CJ. Why is that? All the pretty sundresses and hats and shoes make the endless polo-style shirts and jeans or khakis for boys seem so boring.
Julianna was wearing one of her new sundresses the other day when she went down for a nap. Big mistake on my part. Since she had no diaper cover on (it was really hot out), she simply removed her diaper and proceeded to poop all over her crib. When I walked in to her room, it smelled like a sewer. There was poop smeared all over the sheets and crib rails and wall. Ugh! I nearly lost my lunch.
Clean up was a nightmare, but I managed to do it. I learned a valuable lesson, too: Toddlers need to wear pants or some other diaper cover when they’re going to be alone!
We’re off to see great-grandma this weekend, and CJ is really looking forward to it. Hope you have a good one!
Elisa
