Hi everyone,
Remember the girls’ shoe obsession? Well, it has transferred into cross-dressing: they’re very interested in wearing CJ’s shoes and coats. It’s so cute the way they bring me his gym shoes and stick out their feet to have me put them on. And the way they grab his coats and bring them to me and stick out their arms for me to put them on – they look like they’re wearing floor-length minks! I can see that they’re going to love playing dress-up.
CJ had an accident a couple of weeks ago. He fell off a chair and hit his head on the base of a lamp and cut it open. We rushed him to the ER and he had to have three stitches put in his head. Poor baby! He was such a trouper, though. He did a great job of hanging in there during the procedure, and after the doctor finished, CJ even started telling us what was in the hospital room: "Look Mommy, a clock! That’s a bed." Etc. Then last week, we had to take him to the doctor to have the stitches removed. Again, he handled it all very well. I think he was glad that they were out of his head, after it was all over.
The girls are now sleeping through the night most of the time, and by that I mean they wake up at 4 or 5 a.m. rather than 1 or 3! That’s fine with me, since I’ll take as long a stretch of sleep as I can get these days. I think they like being together in the same room. They play together in the mornings and we hear them laughing. I’m glad they have each other! That’s the best part about having twins: they’re never alone.
Have a great week!
Elisa
