Christy's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

November 2, 2003

I'm kind of to the point right now that I wonder if anyone out there is reading! LOL HELLO OUT THERE!!?? Anyone around? Toddlers Today is a lonely place.

My baby girl will be TWO in just three days. I can't believe that my little newborn has grown into this active and talkative little girl! She's so smart that sometimes (often) she completely takes me by surprise. I've enjoyed her babyhood and I hope that sometime soon we can consider giving her a sibling to play with.

We're not doing a party this year, just cake and ice cream at home. Grandma Jean & Papa Walt got her a Radio Flyer wagon with wood sides and big wheels. Since I had to put it together, she got it a little early. The first thing out of her mouth in the morning is now 'WAGON!?' She LOVES it. Daddy took her down to the mailbox in it yesterday and she enjoyed it. She sits inside with her "Gook" and "Banky" (milk and blanket) and is happy as a clam.

I decided to get a table at a craft fair in early December. I'm layering cookie mix in Pampered Chef batter bowls. I hope they go over well.

I lost four chickens this week. I think the first three were nabbed by a fox and the other one was definitely killed by raccoons. I have to make some changes to the hen house to hopefully protect them. Very sad - and three were my good layers. I have one other who is injured and I hope she makes it.

I've been picking up things for the cottages. I only have a few items left to get - pillows, mattress pads, etc. I have to drive down to the bay area this month to get a sleeper sofa and hit the outlets one more time. As far as construction - they have to put in the electrical and drywall. Not much - but they have to show up to DO IT. We missed all of October and will miss all of November...

I think we've decided to go to church locally. Driving to Ukiah was just too much. Right now the church is reading through The Purpose Driven Life, so I may try to go to a small group meeting Wednesday night and maybe the ladies bible study on Tuesday. We need a church family. It's a huge gaping hole in our life.

Well, that's about it for now. I'm tired, so I apologize that this isn't much of an update! Plus I don't think anyone is reading anyway! :-(
